Crown Hill Glen

Day 2. Park 6. 1.57% done. Crown Hill Glen (Natural Area) takes the early lead as my favorite park … so far. Seattle Parks and Rec calls this a glen. Google maps calls this a glen. I suppose it is a “narrow valley,” but only in the most generous sense of the words. This park is on the small side - even for a neighborhood pocket park. Seems more like the land lucked out because it was too irregular for anyone to build on it when they developed the neighborhood. It has two things going for it; 1. The flora is growing more or less wildly. 2. It has a very high bench to square foot ratio. There are 3 benches all installed by Eagle Scouts. I posted 1 bench pic and 2 commemorative plaques. Go check out the other ones. Fun place to walk to. Plenty of seating.
