Bergen Place

Day 1, Park 3. Bergen Place. This right triangle shaped park in the middle of Ballard is like 97% concrete and 3% weird. Located at the confluence of three streets, it also represents the intersection of Danish, Icelandic, and Norwegian cultures as represented by the engraved stones. Scandinavian influences show up in the flags above the square (triangle?) too. This park also features Jen Lee Dixon’s “Witness Trees.”
